Retro Knit Sweater: Design Views

Olive, black and cream reference views show a relaxed crewneck with cable and diamond-shaped texture, long sleeves and ribbed edges. The olive back view helps map the rear stitch layout. Develop your own authorized chest artwork; the pictured mark is a reference, not an included brand license.
Retro Knit Sweater: Collection Directions
Vogue’s Fall 2026 menswear report highlights prep and sport-influenced sweaters. Our development suggestion for this cable-textured reference is a relaxed heritage-inspired capsule in olive, cream or your own seasonal palette. Confirm stitch scale, weight and layering ease on a sample.
Retro Knit Sweater: FAQ
How do I specify the cable and diamond stitch layout?
Provide front, back and sleeve drawings with panel widths, cable placement and repeat proportions. Review a knit swatch and finished sample so the texture, stitch definition and panel alignment match your approved direction.
Can I choose the yarn and needle gauge?
Send the intended composition, hand feel, garment weight and texture reference. Yarn, gauge, tension and finishing are reviewed together. Approve swatches before garment development; photos cannot confirm fiber content or machine gauge.
How do I control the relaxed fit and rib edges?
Specify chest width, body and sleeve length, shoulder shape, neckline, cuff and hem measurements. Check layering ease and rib recovery. Confirm finished measurements and tolerances after the agreed wash and finishing process.
What checks should I request for pilling and shrinkage?
Agree test methods, acceptance criteria and care conditions for the chosen yarn and knit construction. Review dimensional change, pilling appearance and seam stability on the sample. Do not assume a textured or soft-looking sweater is pill-free.
Can I replace the chest mark with my own artwork?
Submit original or licensed artwork with size and placement. Review the proposed knitted, embroidered or applied method against the stitch structure. Approve a sample for appearance and comfort, plus labels and packing details.
What determines minimums, cost and sampling time?
Yarn minimums by color, gauge, stitch programming, garment weight, size breakdown and finishing affect the quote. Starting bulk MOQ is 100 pieces per style and color, subject to review. The general indicative sampling window is 7–10 days and bulk is 30–45 days after approvals; custom knit development can require a different schedule. Confirm programming, swatches, revisions and production milestones in your quotation.
