Do I need a finished pattern before requesting a quote?
You can start with a tech pack, reference garment or sketches. Include target measurements, fit, fabric and planned quantities. Identify any missing pattern, grading or artwork work so it can be scoped before sampling. A reference image communicates direction; it does not replace agreed production specifications.
What should a sample quotation include?
Ask for the scope of pattern development, materials, decoration trials, sample quantity, revisions and sample shipping. Confirm which items are included and which are quoted separately. Do not assume a sample fee covers unlimited revisions or will be credited to a future bulk order; confirm any credit in writing.
When is the project ready for bulk production?
Approve the sample and current specification version, including measurements and tolerances, fabric, artwork, trims, size and color quantities, and packing. Record unresolved changes before bulk approval.
